MaxScript - 3dsMax
A productivity tool to generate rocks in 3dsMax. Allows generation of random rock or generation of custom geometry shapes. Creates a high poly, low poly, and cage mesh for baking.
This tool is used to quickly automate the process of creating rock culturals with high detail while simultaneously creating a low resolution or the initial level of detail (LOD0) model that is game ready. Ideally used for quick prototyping, the tool can also be used as a base mesh to further refine to the artist's preference and style.
In addition to creating a completely random rock, the tool has the ability to generate rock-like detail to custom meshes that may be more complex in form and function. This feature also generates the low resolution mesh to create a game ready asset.
